This is my first year doing this but I am SOOOOooOOOooo Excited!! Cans for Comments has come to Jodie Lemke Photography's blog! I'm Thrilled to be doing this, and you’ll love being a part of it. Let me fill you in on the details below:
Cans for Comments is a canned food drive where you and I get to partner together to donate canned goods to The Salvation Army, Penticton's local food bank. The success of the drive relies on two things:
- I will post fun blog posts for you to read
- You leave comments on any and all blog posts
For every comment on my blog within the given time frame, I’ll donate one canned food item directly to the Salvation Army. All you have to do is comment. It’s super easy and really fun, and in the process, I hope to get to know who you are, which is awesome for me! Comment as many times as you like. Tell me about yourself, tell me what photos speaks to you, tell me how much you love sushi, ok maybe that's just me ;)… or anything else you wanna share!
Here's my GOAL ------> 100 Cans! WE -CAN-DO-IT!!
The cans for comments drive starts TODAY (Wednesday, December 1st) and goes through December 17th. I will be posting a photo of ALL the canned goods I donate!
AS A BONUS :: I will be Giving away a FREE Christmas GIFT BASKET (details to come). All who comment will be entered in the DRAW!
Here's a few of my favs right now! So can't wait to use that Cranberry sauce! Yummy! What is your favorite canned good?

What a great idea! We donate everything we have left at the end of each day at the bakery to the Salvation Army Food Bank and I never had any idea how great the need is, I still can't believe how fast they go through bread. i think this is really great you are doing this.

My favorite canned good is tomatoes! I am a freak about tomatoes. If I was deserted on a desert island I I could only eat one food, it would be tomatoes :D Also I have red hair and people used to say it was red because I ate so many tomatoes lol :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea !!! Good luck with it! A standard canned food for us is cream of mushroom, a couple of cans in the slow cooker with pork loins or chicken and there you go!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea, our staple and favourite canned good is tomatoes. . .chopped, whole or stewed. You can make just about anything if you have a can of tomatoes in the cupboard!
